Memory: Final

The day was sunny and the soft breeze brought another smile to Tasnim. She sat on the park bench, looking at a boy who was running around with a kite.

A paper cup materialised out of nowhere near her grasp. She was half hoping that it would be a hot, piping cup of black coffee but she knew it was just a dream.

Turning to her right, Tasnim saw a face that smiled at her. It was a face that she knew for a long time. It was the same face with the lopsided smile, which stirred talks among her own friends.

' You know the deal, no coffee.' Yes, she knew.

Things have a habit of changing. When chances were given and no change were seen, it was time to make decisions. And here they are, Tasnim expecting a baby with none other than...

' Seriously, a penchant for drama,' Hanna looked at Tasnim before turning to the person sitting in the next seat.

' I don't want to..you know..ruin the group..'

'..group dynamics. Right. When all you do is sit there and become the hero again and again. Tasnim secretly thinks you're gay, you know,' Hanna gave a dirty look at Khalid. Tasnim just laughed.

' I can assure you I'm not,' Khalid stressed the point while facing Tasnim in his utmost serious face. Again, Tasnim laughed.

It was not easy. There were risks to be taken but the upside was they knew each other for a long time. And due to that also, they did not think there was a reason to delay anything.

Adam's chapter was put to a stop, cold turkey-like. Johari jokingly asked during their reception if Adam was invited but all of them guessed the same thing why Adam decided to spend a whole week somewhere in West Malaysia.

' Congratulations to both of you,' Johari said while looking straight at Tasnim. There were an unspoken relief that translated from his eyes.

It was after all, a rollercoaster of emotion
